Like many owner-operated businesses, Wake Wanaka had a great brand but had developed their own website from one of the free online DIY website builders. Then Wake Wanaka discovered the site wasn't actually free and wasn't fully up to the job.
The site performed poorly for SEO. Wake Wanaka also found they didn't have the design and technical skills to make their off the shelf template fit their business and look professional enough in an industry which is increasingly competitive.
Our challenge was take the content Wake Wanaka had lovingly created and move it quickly an economically to a new platform that looked great, performed well and didn't bust the budget.
What We Did
After careful consultation and many coffees with Wake Wanaka, we 'scraped' all existing content into our web platform and content management system. This way, we were able to recycle all their hard work into a great looking, engaging website that gained traffic and bookings. Speaking of which, our technical team were able to integrate the site with a third party booking calendar specifically requested by Wake Wanaka.
As is our trademark, we chose real, high quality imagery over stock imagery, showcasing Wake Wanaka and the stunning environment in which the business operates. This way, the site conveys a real honesty and authenticity which visitors find refreshing and engaging.
As a result of the success of this work, Wake Wanaka requested an online and offline marketing plan. Drawing on the years of experience available within our team, we produced a marketing plan to take them through the next 12 months.
What We Achieved
Wake Wanaka now have a great looking website that creates leads and bookings and performs well in searches and against their competition. The site was delivered rapidly, in-season, and within the budget set.
They also have a plan that they can use as a roadmap for the next 12 months, making sure that the marketing activities they engage in fit into a strategy and will therefore present a positive return on investment. Some of the items in the plan would require our assistance - others were designed to allow Wake Wanaka to implement the activities themselves, keeping their cost to a minimum.
